When Plans Shift
This weekend was supposed to look very different. I had planned to be at my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday celebration, surrounded by family. Instead, I’m home — my body made it clear that the levels of fatigue were too much to push through.
It’s not an easy choice. There’s always a pull between being at family celebrations and staying home alone. But sometimes our body is sending out ALL the messages, and those whispers — or shouts — shouldn’t be ignored.
That’s the tension we live in with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. Plans shift. Milestones are missed. And it can stir up guilt, frustration, or even shame. But before we accept those feelings as the final word, it’s worth asking: what do interruptions really mean?
What Interruptions Really Mean
When chronic illness interrupts life, it can feel like loss stacked on loss. A missed celebration. An abandoned plan. A day you thought would be full, suddenly spent in bed.
But here’s the truth: interruptions don’t have to mean you’re failing. They can actually be sacred invitations.
Think of Jesus in the Gospels. Many of His miracles happened during interruptions. On His way to heal Jairus’s daughter, He was interrupted by a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years — and that pause became her moment of healing (Mark 5). What looks like delay from our perspective may actually be God’s perfect timing.
Illness, fatigue, or pain often force us to stop. But stopping doesn’t mean God has stopped working. These pauses can be reminders that our worth isn’t in productivity. They can be spaces where God realigns us — body, mind, and spirit — to trust Him more deeply.
For those of us with Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue, our bodies often scream what we’ve tried to ignore: slow down, breathe, reset. When we honor those signals, we aren’t “falling behind.” We’re actually creating the soil where healing can grow.
Interruptions aren’t the end of the story. Sometimes they’re where the story shifts toward hope.
A Sacred New Chapter Planted in Hope
Even in the middle of missed plans and recalibrated energy, something sacred has taken root this September. What began as vision and prayer has now come to life: the Journey to Freedom program is here.
It’s a one-on-one coaching experience that blends Scripture, prayer, essential oils, and gentle breathwork to help you calm your nervous system and begin healing in body, mind, and spirit. Each session ends with a simple practice you can carry into the week — a rhythm that doesn’t overwhelm, but supports your journey step by step.
And when your healing progress feels stuck — or when you just don’t know what step to take next — this program is designed to help remove those roadblocks and bring clarity for the path forward.
This is not a door that opens briefly and then slams shut. It’s a safe space that now exists — steady and sacred — where you can come to breathe, realign your thoughts with God’s Word, and experience peace of mind, body, and spirit renewal.
Like a seed planted in the right soil, this chapter is just beginning. And it will continue to grow, offering rest and healing for those who are ready to step inside.
God’s Steady Gift
Scripture anchors us here:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
Even when fatigue forces us to the sidelines, His Spirit steadies us. Power, love, and a sound mind are still ours. That truth holds when we show up at the party, and it holds when we stay home to rest.
A Gentle Invitation
Journey to Freedom has limited spaces open for October, created for women whose bodies don’t always cooperate with calendars. You don’t have to worry about missing your chance — the program is designed to meet you where you are.
If you’re not sure whether the program is right for you, there’s also a free 15-minute discovery call. Many spots are open for that, because it’s simply a gentle first step. It’s not coaching, but a safe place to ask questions and see if this path is right for you.
Whether through the full program or a discovery call, the door is open. You don’t have to push to get through it — you can simply walk in when your body and spirit whisper it’s time.
Closing Encouragement
This month may not have unfolded as planned, but God’s timing is still holding every piece. The Journey to Freedom program is here — a new sanctuary for healing and renewal.
Your path doesn’t have to be rushed, and your healing doesn’t run on deadlines. Sometimes staying home is the most powerful yes you can give.
If your body is whispering that it’s time, October may be your next step.
If your body is whispering that it’s time, the Journey to Freedom program is waiting for you.
This is a Spirit-led sanctuary for women with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue — a place where Scripture, prayer, breathwork, and gentle rhythms come together for healing.
October spaces are limited, so if your heart is stirring, this may be your next step into hope.
Not sure if Journey to Freedom is the right step?
You’re welcome to begin with a free 15-minute discovery call.
This isn’t a coaching session, but a simple way to ask your questions, explore how the program works, and find the best place to begin. There are many spaces open for discovery calls — so you can take this step without pressure, at your own pace.
If you’d like ongoing encouragement, you’re warmly invited into our free Facebook community, Unfinished Journey… because God’s not done with me yet.
It’s a safe place to share, learn natural strategies, and connect with others who understand life with chronic illness.
You don’t have to walk this alone — we’d love to welcome you there.
