Ever feel like your energy crashes at the exact same time every day?
Or your brain fog rolls in like clockwork — no matter what you do?
That’s not a coincidence. It’s rhythm.
And if you’ve been wondering why nothing seems to work unless you slow down first, there’s a reason for that too:
Your body isn’t broken — she’s following a healing clock.
You just might not be synced up with it yet.
Your Body Has a Built-In Schedule (and She’s Been Leaving Clues)
We tend to think of rest as this reactive thing — like, “I guess I need to lay down now because I’m crashing.”
And we both know — by that point, it’s already too late.
What if you could respond instead of rescue?
Your body is built with sacred rhythms:
- Circadian rhythm (your 24-hour light/dark cycle that affects everything from hormones to energy)
- Ultradian rhythm (those 90–120-minute waves your brain and body ride all day long)
- And even the Chinese organ clock (yes, the one that says your liver’s doing a detox dance at 1 AM — it’s wild but weirdly accurate)
And then there are Biblical rhythms —
Sabbath, rest after work, morning and evening devotion, Jubilee years — woven right into creation.
You weren’t meant to run at full speed 24/7.
You were made to flow.
Overriding Your Rhythm? Yep… That’s Why You’re Crashing.
Let’s be real: most of us weren’t taught to listen to our rhythms.
We were taught to override them.
“Push through.”
“Just get it done.”
“I’ll rest later.”
(Spoiler alert: later never comes. And if it does, it comes with guilt.)
The more you ignore your body’s natural rhythm, the louder she has to speak.
That headache every afternoon?
That wave of nausea before bed?
That emotional crash out of nowhere?
She’s not malfunctioning.
She’s messaging you.
When You Align with Rhythm, Healing Speeds Up
Here’s where it gets good.
When you work with your body’s natural cycles instead of against them:
- Your detox organs activate more efficiently
- Hormones regulate instead of spike
- The nervous system gets a clear signal: we’re safe now
It’s not magic — it’s physiological.
(Which basically means your nervous system isn’t being dramatic — it’s doing its job.)
And it’s Biblical, too:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
You weren’t made for constant output.
You were made for rhythm.
Gentle Ways to Tune In (Even If You’re Tired)
No spreadsheets. No timers. Just subtle shifts. Try these:
🕯️ Morning cue
→ Before checking your phone, open a curtain. Let light hit your eyes. Say a breath prayer.
🌿 Midday check-in
→ When you feel yourself fading, pause. Try 10 minutes in silence or apply a grounding oil (like frankincense or bergamot).
🌙 Evening rhythm
→ Turn off overhead lights after sunset. Use lamp light or candles. Read or repeat Psalm 4:8:
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
That’s what rhythm looks like.
It’s not dramatic. It’s daily obedience to healing.
