About Me

My Journey

For three decades, I battled with my health, struggling to find relief. Despite numerous diagnoses like IBS, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), my condition only worsened.

My health deteriorated further, leading to the diagnosis of Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Mould Sensitivity. My reliance on a cane became a daily reality, and although doctors offered prescriptions, they provided little relief from the fatigue or brain fog.

Life was filled with fear, pain, and constant mental haze.

Determined to find solutions, I embarked on a personal exploration. Guided by my faith, I discovered small and achievable steps towards not only managing but truly healing my health.

Today, I embrace a life of freedom, joy, and boundless energy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

They are both conditions that affect millions of people around the world. Fibromyalgia causes widespread pain, stiffness, and tenderness throughout the body. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome causes extreme fatigue that lasts for several months or even years. Both conditions can be incredibly debilitating, and they often go hand in hand with stress and anxiety. If you are experiencing symptoms of Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, there are natural health strategies that you can try to ease your discomfort. From mindfulness meditation to dietary changes, as well as supplements and alternative therapies, there are many ways to manage these conditions and improve your quality of life.

How did you manage the pain?

Managing pain is never easy, but dealing with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has definitely added a new level of difficulty. When it comes to managing my pain, I’ve had to get creative. I’ve tried everything from acupuncture to essential oils and I’ve found that a combination of things usually works best.

What treatments did you use to help yourself heal?

When it comes to my journey with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I have tried a variety of treatments to help myself heal. One of the key things I have focused on is reducing stress levels, as I have found that flare-ups tend to happen when my stress levels are high. I have also delved into the world of natural health, incorporating things like detox practices and a healthy diet into my routine. Additionally, I have experimented with natural supplements to boost my immune system and alleviate symptoms. While it has been a process to figure out what works best for me, I have definitely found that taking a holistic approach has made a positive difference in my overall health and wellness.

How did you stay motivated throughout the healing process?

The healing process for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome can be incredibly challenging, both physically and mentally. The constant pain, fatigue, and brain fog can make it difficult to stay motivated and optimistic about recovery. For me, one of the most important things I did throughout my healing journey was to focus on managing my stress and anxiety. I found that when I could keep those two things in check, everything else seemed to fall into place a little easier. Of course, that’s easier said than done, but I made sure to prioritize self-care practices like yoga, meditation, and spending time in nature. I also leaned heavily on my support system (shoutout to my partner and my BFF) for encouragement and accountability. Finally, I reminded myself often that healing is not linear – there were good days and bad days, but as long as I kept putting one foot in front of the other, progress was being made.

What lifestyle changes did you make to support your healing?

When I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I knew that I had to make some changes to support my healing. Some of the lifestyle changes that I made may seem small, but they have made a big difference. I started prioritizing sleep, making sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. I also made changes to my diet by cutting out processed foods and incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and protein. Additionally, I started doing low-impact exercises like yoga and swimming. Lastly, I realized that stress is a huge trigger for flares and started incorporating activities like meditation and journaling into my daily routine. While making these changes was definitely not easy, I can honestly say that they have made a huge difference in my overall wellbeing

What was the most difficult part of your healing journey?

When I think about my healing journey, the most difficult hurdle that comes to mind is navigating the dual diagnoses of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It felt like I had a never-ending list of symptoms to deal with, which made it hard to find relief. But what made it even more challenging was the stress and anxiety that came with feeling like my body was failing me. Every day felt like a battle, both physically and mentally. However, I learned to lean on my support system and prioritize self-care. It wasn’t easy, but gradually, I found ways to manage my symptoms and live a more fulfilling life.

How long did it take before you started healing?

It took me quite a while to finally heal from the painful and exhausting effects of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Both conditions had such a strong hold on my life for  decades, but I found that managing stress and anxiety was the key to finally feeling better. Every day felt like a battle, but slowly and surely I made progress. It definitely wasn’t easy, and there were moments I wanted to give up and accept that this was just my new normal. However, I am so thankful I persevered. It took me a good two years to really feel like I had made significant progress, but  I kept healing after the first 2 years.  It’s definitely taught me to appreciate the small victories and to take care of my body first and foremost.

What have been the best results of your healing journey?

When I reflect on my healing journey, I can’t help but feel gratitude for the immense progress I’ve made. I suffered from both Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for decades, which were worsened by my intense levels of stress and anxiety. Eventually, I knew I had to take control of my health and find natural health strategies that worked for me. The best results of my healing journey were gaining clarity on what my body needed to thrive and finding a sense of inner peace that had eluded me for far too long. It’s been a journey full of ups and downs, but I’ve realized that the small steps taken every day eventually led to the significant progress I experience today.
